Recently completed Dissertation, "The Teeming Brothel: Sex Acts, Desires, and Sexual Identities in the United States, 1870-1940" (OSU, 2002) about the correlations between prostitutes and lesbians in the nineteenth- and twentieth-century United States, looking primarily at sexological literature,prostitutes' and lesbians' diaries and autobiographies, and pornography.
Also working as the humanities acquisitions editor at the Ohio State University Press and very interested in acquiring books in sexuality--especially as they relate to series in the history of crime and criminal justice, women's health, and urban studies
