My dissertation is in American History and is on the topic of female undergarments, 1940-70. Contents (and interests) include: the female body and sexuality as
transformative / performative entities; female sexuality in the context of
nationalism and the construction of a "national body;" advertising and
foundation garment industry discourse as venues for the construction of
sexuality; and corsetieres' performative roles in each process.
